Khutbatu'l Hajjah

Preface Verily all praise is for Allah, we praise Him and seek His aid and ask for His forgiveness, and we seek refuge with Allah from the evils of ourselves and our evil actions. Whomever Allah guides there is none who can misguide him, and whomever Allah misguides there is none who can guide him, and I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah Alone, having no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger.

"O mankind! Reverence your Guardian-Lord, Who created you from a single person, created, of like nature his mate, and from them twain scattered countless men and women; reverence Allah, through Whom you demand your mutual (rights) and (reverence) the wombs (that bore you): for Allah ever watches over you." (an-Nisa 4/1)

"O you who believe! Fear Allah as He should be feared, and die not except in a state of Islam." (Al-i Imran 3/102)

"O you who believe! Fear Allah, and (always) say a word did to the right that He may make your conduct whole and sound and forgive you your sins: He that obeys Allah and His Messenger, has already attained the highest achievement." (al-Ahzab 33/70-71)

As for what follows: Verily the most truthful speech is the Word of Allah and the best guidance is the guidance of Muhammad (saw), and the worst of affairs are the novelties and every novelty is an innovation and every innovation is a going astray and every going astray is in the Fire.

Our call is to Islam… Our call is to Haqq… Our call is to tawhid…

“This religion has a particular method of action... Indeed; this religion cannot be established -at any time- except through this method.” (Sayyid Qutb, Milestones)

Our call is to tawhid…

Nowadays we have been witnessing that there are many things which people call upon such as jihaad; many others to khilafah, some others to tabligh; some to democracy etc... All of these callers believe this is the reality of Islam. Little do they know that they call upon partial portions of Islam which is insufficient for one to become Muslim. Islam is a whole which becomes complete in an individual when the entire entity of asluddeen is acknowledged, comprehended and practiced in reality. It is sad to see that these sects call for only a portion of Islam instead of the whole; tawhid which is the asl (base) of the din. Tawhid is the source in Islam which everything gets its value from. Without tawhid there is no Islam. Individuals must realize and actualize the fact that Islam is not something of an inheritance past on from one generation to the next in partial portions. It is an entity that becomes the fundament of ones life with knowledge, comprehension, assimilation and actualization. Our call is to tawhid; which includes every single object of Islam; haqq, jihaad, shari'ah, khilafah, tabligh etc...

Our call is to tawhid…

Indeed “Islam is not a 'theory' based on 'assumptions;' rather it is a way of life' working with 'actuality'.” (Sayyid Qutb, Milestones)

Islam is a way of life and it is the source to shape ones life according to. It is a method of living. It is a method of characterizing oneself from the ahl of the eternal jahannam. Islam needs to be adopted in the entire lives of individuals. One can not become Muslim nor can one remain Muslim without assimilating to Islam in totality. We need to adapt Islam into our lives and we must shape our lives according to the shari'ah. We must not try to shape Islam according to our lives or way of living, because this will lead to nothing but deviation and chaos in the life of the individual and it will arise many deviations within deen which will eventually be adapted as haqq while it is baatil. This is why it is very important to also learn what is baatil, alongside learning what haqq is. Although haqq and baatil are contradictory to one another, sometimes they can be intertwined by deviated minds in such way that there will appear the possibility that someone mixes one with the other. We call upon tawhid to lift this deviation and any possibility of it. Indeed acceptance of deen commences with rejection and the knowledge of what must be rejected. Most of mankind are mushrik for the reason that they have intertwined haqq with baatil. They do not recognize baatil any longer because it has become haqq for them. The reason baatil has become haqq for them is due to the fact that they are ignorant in regards to, what’s baatil and what baatil really is.

With basirah we will inshaAllah observe the conditions of the outer world and the necessities of the society of Islam and the necessities of Islam which we must practice in the correct manner to be Muslims. Islam is completed and every single ruling has been ruled. Practicing the hukm of Islam is related with the ability of the Muslim jamaa'ah and we must match the ability and the conditions to fit reality.

We must become citizens of Islam rather than citizens of states and become a component of Islam. We must act upon this citizenship and take part in its community as a member with our souls, hearts, minds, and all our limbs. As we become a part of Islam we must make Islam a part of us; it must become our guideline to the way we live our lives and the method to keep integrity, inline and true to Allah (awj).

Our call is to tawhid…

Tawhid is the name of the compatibility between; mankind and the Lord; mankind and the entire universe; the belief, thought and lives of mankind and the purpose of his creation. The intention of delivering the messengers to mankind is, to remind the truth of tawhid and unquestionably the essence of the dawah is “La-ilaha illallah”.

Our call is to tawhid…

It is the word which Allah has sent to all His Messengers which every individual will be questioned in regards to and its obligations (both affirmation and negation); it is the root cause for creation, command, rewards and punishment; it will be the first question in the grave, and it is the key to jannah, it will become the protection from punishment of the hell fire; Jahannam, it is the first thing required of the kuffar when they are invited to embrace Islam; it is the word which both human beings and jinn  were created for; it is the right of Allah over His servants; it is a declaration of  Islam; for the preservation of this kalimah; swords are drawn for striving and fighting  (Jihaad); it is the dividing line between unbelief (kufr) and Islam; it is the word of piety (kalimatu'l-taqwaa), the firm and trustworthy hand-hold (al-‘urwatu'l-wuthqaa) and it is what Ibrahim (as) made as a lasting word (al-Kalima al-Baaqiyah); it is a kalimah that Allah Himself has testified to, and the angels and those who possess knowledge from amongst His creation; it is a kalimah of purity and sincerity (kalimatu'l-Ikhlaas); it is a witness and an invitation to the truth; it is a declaration of dissociation from Shirk (polytheism); it is the price to pay for the Gardens of Paradise (Jannah)…

He whose last words are 'LailahaillaAllah' will enter the Gardens of Paradise; It is salvation from the Hellfire; It necessitates being forgiven; It is the best of all good actions; it will be the key to acceptance of good deeds, and increase of the rewards, It wipes away sins; It renews the faith (iman) that is planted in the heart; It outweighs, on the scales, the records of sins; It overcomes all barriers until it reaches Allah (awj); It is the achievement of the protection of Allah, It is a kalimah whose speaker who declared truthful by Allah; It is the best of what the Prophets have said; It is the best form of remembrance, the best of all actions and the one that is multiplied the most deed (in reward); It is equivalent to freeing slaves; It is a protection against shaytan (Satan); It is gaining exit and escape from sorrows. It is protection from falling into evil. It is the path of being the most hopeful optimistic and cheerful among people. It is the light on the day of judgment; It is a means of  safety from the darkness in the grave and from the terror of the gathering on the Day of Resurrection (al-hashr); He who has iman will be guided by Allah; It is a distinguishing sign for the Believers when they emerge from their graves; All eight gates of Paradise will be opened to the one who testifies to it; and he may enter by any one he chooses. Even if the one who testifies to it enters the Hell-fire, due to falling short in fulfilling (some of) its rights, most definitely, that person will eventually be taken out from it….

So it is the solution of salvation in both lives; dunya and the akhirah. Whoever utters it, will be safe in this dunya and the sword will be removed from him; it is the kalimah that causes the friendship (al-Wala) or enmity (wa’l-Bara). It is the first and foremost duty of mankind. It is the most important testification for one and it is the meaning of life. Therefore it must be expressed intentionally, by acknowledging and comprehending its meanings and necessities also it must be concluded by actualizing its necessities, requirements, regulations, conditions and restrictions. Then it will become the solution to deliverance and salvation of individuals leading from baatil to haqq from fire to the gardens of paradise.

“Our Lord! We believe in that which Thou hast revealed and we follow him whom Thou hast sent. Enrol us among those who witness (to the truth).” (Al-i Imran 3/53)

All the messengers came with the same aim and all of them call mankind to “tawhid”:

“For We assuredly sent amongst every People a messenger, (with the Command), "Serve Allah, and eschew Taghout": of the People were some whom Allah guided, and some on whom error became inevitably (established). So travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those who denied (the Truth).” (an-Nahl 16/36)

“Behold, the messengers came to them, from before them and behind them, (preaching): "Serve none but Allah." They said, "If our Lord had so pleased, He would certainly have sent down angels (to preach). Now we reject your mission (altogether).” (Fussilat 41/14)

“The Prophets are all paternal brothers. Their mothers are many but their religion is one.” (Bukhari, Muslim, Ibn Maajah)

Our call is to tawhid… Our call includes the salvation in both this worldly life and the hereafter; it is a guideline for both lives.

“I brought to you something which is related to both this dunya and the akhirah” (Ibn Ishaq, Siyar, 202)

“If you accept, you will be pleased both in this dunya and the akhirah. If you reject, then I will be patient to the will of Allah’s. He will give his hukm between us.” (Ibn Ishaq, Siyar, 258-259)

“If you accept, you will be pleased both in this dunya and the akhirah. If you do not accept then I will withstand everything to accomplish the hukm of Allah. Allah will give his hukm between us.” (Ibn Hisham, Siyar, 187)

Our call is to tawhid…

We will try to keep our message clear even for our opponents and enemies so even they can realize what our call is to:

The Meccan mushriks had a good understanding regarding the truth of the call of RasulAllah (saw): “Narrated Abdullah bin Abbas: Abu Sufyan bin Harb informed me that Heraclius had sent a messenger to him while he had been accompanying a caravan from Quraysh….Heraclius said, 'What does he order you to do?' I said, 'He tells us to worship Allah and Allah alone and not to worship anything along with Him, and to renounce all that our ancestors had said. He orders us to pray, to speak the truth, to be chaste and to keep good relations with our Kith and kin.” (Bukhari)

Our call is to tawhid…

Like RasulAllah (saw) as a last prophet had presented his dawah to mankind, our call is to the entire human race:

“Proclaim (O Muhammad): ‘O Mankind! I am RasulAllah to you all’.” (al-Araf  7/158)

“I have been sent to the entire mankind” (Bukhari; Nasai; Darimi)

Allah (awj) also says: “We have not sent you but as a messenger to all humanity, giving them glad tidings and warning them.” (Saba 28)

“O humanity! The Messenger has come to you in truth from Allah. Believe in him: It is best for you. But if you reject faith, to Allah belong all things in the heavens and on Earth, and Allah is All-knowing, All-Wise.” (an-Nisa 4/170)

“I have only sent you as a mercy to all the worlds.”  (al-Anbiya 21/107)

“Muhammad was not the father of any of you, but he was a messenger of Allah and the seal of the prophets.” (al-Ahzab 33/40)

RasulAllah (saw) said: “Each Prophet was sent specifically to his own people, whereas I was sent to all humanity.” (Bukhari; Muslim)

“I have been sent to whole mankind (to black and red skinned).” (Shatibi, Muwafaqat; Ibn Qutayba, Tawilu Muhtalif’l-Hadith)

RasulAllah (saw) stated:

“I have been sent to whole mankind.” (Bukhari; Nasai; Darimi)

RasulAllah (saw) said: “I was favored over those who came before by five characteristics … previous prophets used to be sent to their individual people specifically, while I was sent to the whole of humankind.” (Bukhari)

"I swear by the One who holds my life in His Hands (Allah) there is none amongst the Jews and Christians who hears about me and then dies without believing in the message with which I have been sent (monotheism of Islam - believing Allah is One and we must submit ourselves to His Will on earth), except he will be of the people of the Fire (Hell)." (Muslim)

RasulAllah (saw) also commanded the sahabah to call to tawhid: Ibn Abbas (ra) reported: "When RasulAllah (saw) sent Mu'adh to al Yaman, he commended him: 'When you reach people of the Book, let your first act be to call them to witness that There is no God but Allah'." According to another report; “..... to call them to actualize the iniquity of Allah. If they obey you, inform them that Allah has imposed upon them salat five times a day. If they obey you in this, then inform them that Allah has laid upon them the duty of charity to be levied from their rich and distributed to their poor. If they obey you in this, do not touch their other properties and attend to the complaint of the sufferer of injustice, for in his access to Allah there is neither let nor hindrance." (Bukhari; Muslim)

Our call is to tawhid…

When the dawah reaches people, automatically the two camps occur; the society of the Muslim and the society of the kuffar. Ranks between haqq and baatil differentiate from each other and the mushrik society will show their enmity towards the Muslim and Islam.

Islam aims to cut off the chains which had been put on the mankind by the systems of mankind therefore Islam brings the freedom for the people. This surely takes the reaction of the owner of the systems of mankind and the elite who governs.

“Those who follow the messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (scriptures),- in the law and the Gospel;- for he commands them what is just and forbids them what is evil; he allows them as lawful what is good (and pure) and prohibits them from what is bad (and impure); He releases them from their heavy burdens and from the yokes that are upon them. So it is those who believe in him, honour him, help him, and follow the light which is sent down with him,- it is they who will prosper." (al-Araf 7/157)

Fundamentally Islam had come to break all systems of taghout, baatil of the fake deities. Islam began with rejecting all evil and the acceptance of haqq. Islam had begun; to fight all evil until the entire earth is cleansed from all baatil.

When we look into the history, we come across the following reasons as accusations against the RasulAllah (saw) by the mushrik society of Makkah:

“disavowing from their false gods, criticizing their religions, causing fitnah in the society, and rejecting of their gods” (Ibn Ishaq, 298; Tabari, 2/128-129) “cursing their ancestors, condemning their religion, accusing them to be ignorant, causing fitnah in the society” (Ibn ishaq, 257; Ibn Athir, 2/64-65) “causing fitnah” (Ibn Ishaq, 299) “causing fitnah in the families and tribes, causing wives not obeying her husband and causing child not obeying their parents.” (Hamidullah, Prophet of Islam, 1/159)

After the storm of opposition had arisen in Makkah against RasulAllah (saw), Islam and the Muslim by the mushrik society of Quraysh, the Quraysh chiefs had a hope to compromise with RasulAllah. Therefore, in many occasions, they visited him and brought different proposals and offers to get along with RasulAllah with an advantage on their behalf. They tried to bring the dispute to end and met somewhere in the middle. In the hadith books and books of siyaar many of these traditions have been related. In one occasion: Abdullah b Abbas said the Quraysh offered RasulAllah to give Him wealth, woman, make him a leader etc: "We shall give you so much of wealth that you will become the richest man of Makkah; we shall give you whichever woman you like in marriage; we are prepared to follow and obey you as our leader, only on the condition that you will not speak ill of our gods. If you do not agree to this, we present another proposal which is to your as well as to our advantage." Therefore RasulAllah (saw) asked what it was they said that if he would worship their gods, Lat and Uzza, for a year, they would worship his God for the same space of time. RasulAllah (saw) said: "Wait awhile; let me see what my Lord commands in this regard." There upon the revelation came down: the surah al-Kafirun and: Qul afa-ghair Allahi... (az-Zumar 39/64): "Say to them: ignorant people do you bid me to worship others than Allah?" (Ibn Jarir, Ibn Abi Hatim, Tabarani). According to another tradition from Ibn Abbas, the Quraysh said to RasulAllah (saw): "O Muhammad, if you kiss our gods, the idols, we shall worship your God." There upon, this Surah was sent down." (Abd bin Humaid) Said bin Mina (the freed slave of Abul Bakhtari) has related that Walid bin Mughirah, As bin Wail, Aswad bin al-Muttalib and Umayyah bin Khalaf met RasulAllah (saw) and said to him: "O Muhammad let us agree that we would worship your God and you would worship our gods, and we would make you a partner in all our works. If what you have brought was better than what we possess, we would be partners in it with you, and have our share in it, and if what we possess is better than what you have brought, you would be partner in it with us and have your share of it. "At this Allah sent down: Qul ya-ayyuhal-kafirun (Ibn Jarir, Ibn Abi Hatim, Ibn Hisham also has related this incident in the Sirah). Wahb bin Munabbih has related that the people of Quraysh said to RasulAllah (saw): "If you like, we would enter your faith for a year and you would enter our faith for a year." (Abd bin Humaid, Ibn Abi Hatim).

As seen above, Quraysh had proposed such things to RasulAllah (saw) for the sake of “come to an understanding” with a reasonable solution; different times and on different occasions and they had received a definite, decisive reply so that their hope that he would come to terms with them on the principle of "give and take" was frustrated for ever.

Concession will necessitate concession and concession will take to fire...

Although RasulAllah (saw) had been weak at the beginning of his dawah Allah had commanded he not be reluctant but openly explain his situation. This way he had put forth the attitude the Muslim must put forth against the mushrik with a Rabbani method. This had occurred before Jihaad with a weapon had become an obligation and prior to hijrah. Allah had commanded RasulAllah to shout their state in Islam in a clear manner. Regarding this Allah ta’ala stated: “Say: O ye that reject Faith! I worship not that which ye worship, Nor will ye worship that which I worship. And I will not worship that which ye have been wont to worship, Nor will ye worship that which I worship. To you be your Way, and to me mine." (al-Kafirun 109/1-6)

Today one of the greatest mistakes of the so-called Islamic jamaa'ah is looking for their enemies outside the country. Whereas we know that our enemies are in our families. We need to actualize the departure even within the same house, so the dawah causes clear departure and separation in the society starting from within the families as it had before. Once a Muslim individual makes Islam his way of life, Islam will reshape his life and put barriers between shirk (and ahl-shirk) and the Muslim. This is the breaking point in the family, and the entire society. The Muslim will be in one valley and shirk will be another. This sharp separation between the two camps of kufr and iman will build a new generation which Islam will arise upon their shoulders. This generation will arise for the sake of Allah and will live accordingly only for the sake of Allah.

Our call is to tawhid…

The next step is hijrah: With hijrah it may openly be declared that the Muslim will not live under the rule of the mushrik society with acceptance of their authority in a humiliated situation. Hijrah is one of the steps of dawah and it is not an escape, indeed it is a revolution against the mushrik society which shows the mushrik society how honorable the Muslim really are. After hijrah which is the sign of Muslim; not settling with the kuffar under any condition but Islam, and being a power by having the Muslim unity, war may become unavoidable.

Our call is to tawhid…

RasulAllah (saw) commanded to call to tawhid both in war and peace: Ibn Abbas (ra) reported: "When RasulAllah (saw) sent Mu'adh to al Yaman, he commended him: 'When you reach people of the Book, let your first act be to call them to witness that There is no God but Allah'." According to another report it was; “...to call them to actualize the unity of Allah.

War is an obligatory and a hard phase

“If I do as you wish, will you tell me one word? There is khayr for you in that word. You will command the arabs with it, and with it the ajam will obey you.  (Ibn Ishaq, Siyar, 299; Tabari, Tarikh, 2/131-133; Ibn Athir, al-Kamil, 2/66-67)

“Say La-ilaha illallah with me. As all Arabs will obey you all ajam will pay jizya to you. Wallahi you will spend the treasury of Qisrah and Qaiser for Allah.” (Ibn Athir, 2/297, 58, 72, 106; Balazuri, Futuhu’l-Buldan, 2/31; Tabari, Tarikh, 2/112, 131, 198)

“Obey me so that until Qiyamah all mankind will follow you” (Ibn Ishaq, Siyar, 269; Tabari, 2/131)

“I have been commanded to fight mankind until they say La-ilaha illallah.” (Bukhari; Muslim; Ibn Maajah; Nasai; Tirmidhi)

Sahl b. Sad (ra) said; RasulAllah (saw) said: "Go with caution there, where they are! Invite them to Islam. Give them the knowledge of the rights, which has Allah on them. Verily by Allah, if someone finds with your cause for the right path, it is better for you than red camels." (Bukhari; Muslim)

Sahi ibn Sa'd (ra) said: "At the Battle of Khaybar, RasulAllah (saw) asserted: 'Tomorrow I shall indeed hand over the flag to a person who loves and is loved by Allah and His Prophet. Under his leadership, Allah will give the army victory.' The people spent their night guessing to whom the flag would be given. On the morrow, all of them flocked to RasulAllah (saw) each asking to be given the flag. RasulAllah (saw) asked for Ali ibn Abu Talib, who was absent on account of an eye ailment. When Ali was brought to the Prophet, he anointed his eyes and prayed for him. Ali was then cured of his ailment, given the flag and commanded: 'Go to the people with ease and gentleness. When you arrive in their midst, call them to Islam. Inform them of their duties to Allah (swt)! By Him! That He may guide through you a single man to Islam is worthier than all the best cattle of the world'."

Narrated by Anas bin Malik (ra): “RasulAllah (saw) said: "I have been ordered to fight the people till they say: 'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah.' And if they say so, pray like our prayers, face our Qiblah and slaughter as we slaughter, then their blood and property will be sacred to us and we will not interfere with them except legally and their reckoning will be with Allah." Narrated by Maimun ibn Siyah that he asked Anas bin Malik (ra): "O Abu Hamza! What makes the life and property of a person sacred?" He replied: "Whoever says: 'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah', faces our Qiblah during the prayers, prays like us and eats our slaughtered animal, then he is a Muslim, and has got the same rights and obligations as other Muslims have." (Bukhari)

Umar b. Khattab (ra) said to Abu Bakr (ra): "Why would you fight against the people, when RasulAllah (saw) declared: I have been directed to fight against people so long as they do not say: There is no god but Allah, and he who professed it was granted full protection of his property and life on my behalf except for a right?" (Ibnu'l Jawzi, Muntazam 4/76; Bukhari; Muslim; Abu Dawud; Nasai, Mujtaba 5/14-15; Tirmidhi; Balazuri, Futuhu'l Buldan 1/113; Ahmad, Musnad; Bayhaqi, S. Kubra; Hakim; Abdurrazzak #6916, #10020, #18718; Hatib, 9/315, 10/464, 12/201; Bukhari, Tarihk Kabir, 3/367, 7/35; Ibnu Abi Shayba 10/122, 123, 12/374, 376, 377, 380; Tabarani, Kabir, 2/198, 347, 6/161, 8/382; Said b. Mansur, Sunnan, 2901, 2933 etc.)

“Narrated Ibn Umar:  RasulAllah (saw) said: "I have been ordered (by Allah) to fight against the people until they testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is Allah's Apostle, and offer the prayers perfectly and give the obligatory charity, so if they perform that, then they save their lives an property from me except for Islamic laws and then their reckoning (accounts) will be done by Allah." (Bukhari; Muslim) “Narrated Ibn Umar: RasulAllah (saw) said: Islam is based on (the following) five (principles): 1. To testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and Muhammad is Allah's Apostle. 2. To offer the (compulsory congregational) prayers dutifully and perfectly. 3. To pay Zakat (i.e. obligatory charity). 4. To perform Hajj. (i.e. Pilgrimage to Makkah)  5. To observe fast during the month of Ramadan.” (Bukhari; Muslim)

Buraidah (ra) narrated: "Whenever RasulAllah (saw) deputed anyone as leader of an army (troop) or expedition, he admonished him to fear Allah, and be good to the Muslims with him. He used to say: "Start fighting (war) with the Name of Allah, in the cause of Allah, and fight those who disbelieve in Allah. You fight and do not take unduly from the booty, nor break any treaty, nor mutilate the dead bodies, nor kill the children. When you meet your enemies, who are polytheists, invite them to three alternatives. If they respond to any of these positively, accept them at their words and do not continue the war anymore. Invite them to accept Islam. If they agree to accept Islam, ask them to leave their homes and migrate to the lands of Muhajirin. Tell them that after migration they shall be entitled to get all the privileges and obligations of Muhajirin. If they refuse to migrate then make it clear that they will have the status of bedouin Muslims and shall be subjected to the commands of Allah like other Muslims but they shall not get any share from the booty or returns of the war unless they fight on the Muslims' side. If they do not confess Islam, impose Jizyah (a tax of protection taken from the non-Muslim citizens in the Islamic state) on them and if they comply with, then restrain your hands from them. But if they refuse (to pay Jizyah) then seek Allah's help and fight them. When you lay siege to a fort and the besieged appeal to you for protection in the Name of Allah and His Prophet, do not accord them the guarantee of Allah and His Prophet but give them the guarantee on behalf of yourself and on behalf of your companions. For it is a lesser sin that the security provided by you and your companion is disregarded than the security granted to them in the Name of Allah and His Prophet. When you besiege a fort and the besieged want you to let them out in accordance with Allah's Command, do not let them come out in accordance with His Command but do so at your (own) command, for you do not know whether or not you'll be able to carry out Allah's Behest with regard to them." (Muslim)

One solution....one salvation...

Imam Malik b Anas (ra) said: "Whatever corrected the beginning of this ummah will also correct the later." (Qadi Iyad, ash-Shifa bi Traifi Hukuki’l-Mustafa; Ibn Taymiyyah, Majmu al-Fatawa; Ibn Taymiyyah,  al-Fatawa Kubra; Ibn Taymiyyah, Qaidatun Jalilatun fi Tawassul wa'l Wasila; Ibn Taymiyyah, Minhaju's Sunnah; Ibn Taymiyyah, Iqtidas Sirati'l Mustaqim; Ibn Taymiyyah, al-Istighasa fir Raddil ala'l Bakri; Ibnul Hajj, al-Madhal)

Imam Malik (ra) stated: “Wahb b Kaisan al-Qurayshi would sit with us and he would not leave without saying: “Whatever corrected the beginning of this ummah will also correct the later.” (Ibn Abdilbarr, at-Tamhid)

Our call is to tawhid…

"Say, none has the right to be worshipped but Allah (La-ilaha illallah) and thus be successful." (Musnad; Ibn Ishaq, Siyar, 249; Ibn Kathir, Tafsir, 15/8734; Ibn Sad, at-Tabaqatu’l-Kubra; Ibn Abi Shayba, al-Musannaf; Ibn Hudhayma, as-Sahih; Ibn Hibban, al-Musnadu’s-Sahih; Tabarani; al-Mujamu’l-Kabir; Daraqutni, as-Sunnan; Hakim, al-Mustadrak; Bayhaqi, as-Sunanu Kubra; Bayhaqi, Dalailu’n-nubuwwah; Khatib al-Baghdadi, Tarikhu Bagdhdad; Dhahabi, Talhisu’l-Mustadrak; Haythami, Majmauz-Zawaid; Ibn Hajar, al-Matalibu Aliyya; Ibn Hajar, Ithafu’l-Mahara)

Ibn Mas'ud (ra) said: 'Whoever wishes to ascertain the will of RasulAllah (saw) a will on which RasulAllah (saw) had set his seal, let him read the following words of Allah: 'Come, let me tell you what your Lord has forbidden you, namely, that you do not associate aught with Him... And that is My straight path." (Araf 7/151-153)

Mu' adh ibn Jabal (ra) related: "I was riding behind RasulAllah (saw) when he said to me: 'O Mu'adh! Do you know what is due to Allah from His creatures, and what is due to them?' I responded: 'Allah and His Prophet know best.' He continued: 'What is due to Allah from His creatures is to serve Him alone and never to associate any other being with Him. What is due to them is not to punish any person who does not associate aught with Him.' I said: 'O RasulAllah (saw), may I not then give the glad tidings to the people?' He replied: 'No! Do not reassure them lest they rely on the promise and lapse in their service to Him'." The foregoing hadith is reported in the sahihayn (i.e., Bukhari & Muslim).

It was related by Ubadah ibn al Samit that RasulAllah (saw) said: "Whoever witnesses that there is no God but Allah, alone, without associate, and that Muhammad is His servant and Apostle, that Isa (as) is the servant of Allah and His apostle, His command unto Maryam and of His spirit, that Paradise and Hell are true, Allah would on that account enter him into Paradise." (Bukhari; Muslim) It was also recorded the report of Itban that RasulAllah (saw) said: "Allah will not permit to be consigned to Hell anyone who witnesses 'There is no God but Allah', seeking thereby nothing but Allah's face."

Jabir (ra) reported that RasulAllah (saw) said: "Whoever meets Allah on the Day of Judgment not having associated aught with Him, shall enter Paradise; and whoever meets Him having done the contrary shall be consigned to Hell'." (Muslim)

RasulAllah (saw) said: "Whoever affirms that there is no God but Allah and denies all other objects of worship, safeguards his blood, property and fate with Allah." (Bukhari)

RasulAllah (saw) has said: “Whoever dies knowing that there is nothing worthy of worship except Allah will enter paradise.” (Muslim)

Ubaadah Ibn as-Saamit (ra) narrated that RasulAllah (saw) said: “Whoever testifies that nothing has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, having no partner and Muhammad is His Servant and Messenger; and that Isa is the servant of Allah and His Messenger, His Word which He directed to Maryam, and a soul from Him; that Paradise is true and the Fire is true; Allah will admit him into Paradise no matter what his deeds may be.” (Bukhari; Muslim; Tirmidhi; Imam Ahmad, Musnad)

If a person dies upon the tawhid he will enter Paradise. When the Jewish boy accepted Islam, RasulAllah (saw) said, "All praise is for Allah who saved this boy from the fire." (Bukhari) Although he had no good deeds, RasulAllah (saw) gave the good news regarding him.

"Say, none has the right to be worshipped but Allah (LailahaillaAllah) and thus be successful."
